2006 - The Fragmented Woman
LA MUJER FRAGMENTADA (The Fragmented Woman). article reflects on patriarchy, the double moral standard and the constructions of the “good” and the “bad” woman, and it explores how these, impact on the phenomenon of trafficking on women and girls for sexual exploitation and “prostitution”. Some years ago became more visible the phenomenon of “disappearing” of women in Argentina. The article analyses, in a language that is colloquial and straight the ideas of “good and bad woman” within the patriarchal context of Argentina society, where the trade on women for social exploitation is possible thanks to the patriarchal construction of the male gender, and the tolerance to prostitution by the State and society.
